First-Time Patients

Deciding to seek treatment for substance abuse is a challenging task. We acknowledge the courage, patience, and strength it takes to reach this point. If this is your first experience with recovery, you may have several questions. Many patients often wonder about the process and the expected outcome. Our admissions team at affordable drug rehab understands the apprehension that comes with taking the initial steps towards long-term sobriety. We are here to assist you in finding the right center. We will guide you throughout the process and help alleviate any stress or anxiety as you embark on this new chapter in your life.

Detox is typically the initial phase in achieving long-term recovery for most patients. When the body still contains traces of drugs or alcohol, it becomes challenging to resist cravings and focus on healing. A comprehensive and medically-supervised detox helps eliminate these obstacles, allowing patients to embark on their treatment journey with a clear mind and unwavering determination. Our centers combine high-level, interventional detox with the compassion and support of a dedicated team to give each individual the best chance at recovery. Additionally, clients undergo thorough medical and psychiatric assessments to evaluate their needs and substance use history, enabling our centers to create personalized treatment plans and recommend the appropriate level of care. With round-the-clock access to medical staff, our centers expertly manage all withdrawal symptoms and provide individual attention to ensure clients’ safety and comfort throughout the process. Although detox can be challenging, patients are supported every step of the way. Our goal is to make the experience as positive as possible and help clients feel a sense of accomplishment as they prepare for their transition into short or long-term treatment.

Alcohol and Drug Disorders

Alcohol and drug addiction can be incredibly difficult to overcome on your own. These substances can have a powerful hold on individuals, causing them to prioritize their next high over everything else in their life. However, it’s crucial to seek help even when it feels challenging or impossible. At Affordable Drug Rehab, our experienced admissions team is here to provide you with the support and guidance you need. You don’t have to face addiction alone. Our centers create a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can address their substance abuse issues and make progress towards long-term recovery. We are committed to finding the right center for your specific needs and financial situation, ensuring you get the help you deserve.

Alcohol and drug disorders can have a profound impact on an individual’s life, affecting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. At Affordable Drug Rehab, we understand the complexities of these disorders and how they can hinder a person’s ability to live a fulfilling life. That’s why our centers offer comprehensive treatment programs that address all aspects of addiction. When you reach out to us, our team will work with you to understand your specific needs and create a personalized treatment plan that targets the root causes of your addiction. Our centers offer a range of therapies, including individual counseling, group therapy, behavioral therapy, and holistic treatments such as yoga and meditation. We also provide ongoing support through aftercare programs to help individuals maintain their sobriety after completing treatment. No matter what type of alcohol or drug disorder you are struggling with, our centers are equipped to help you every step of the way towards a healthier and happier life.

Post-Relapse Care

Substance abuse disorders are defined as chronic, and relapse is an ongoing concern for individuals in recovery from addiction. While a relapse should not be seen as a failure or defeat, it does present new challenges and prolongs the recovery process. Additionally, a relapse can lead to further health issues and increase the risk of an overdose. To avoid the complications associated with relapse, our goal is to provide patients with a successful initial detox, ensuring that their first experience is also their last. Through our high level of care, we introduce patients to new strategies, healthy coping mechanisms, and a strong support system, aiding them in their long-term recovery journey as they transition to higher levels of care.

Ideally, patients strive for a single detox experience. However, we understand that healing from long-term drug or alcohol use is not always a linear process and may require significant time. A relapse often indicates the need to revisit treatment, reevaluate recovery strategies, and reflect on goals, intentions, and desires. With Affordable Drug Rehab, our centers closely collaborate with patients who have experienced relapse to identify the specific challenges they face in their recovery journey. We tailor a relapse-support program to address their needs, which may involve returning to medically-supervised detox, continuing therapy, or both. Through an integrated approach, the centers we recommend address any overlooked issues or needs from the past. Regardless of the severity of the relapse, our admissions team is available to assist you in finding the most suitable center to guide you towards long-term recovery. We prioritize finding a treatment program that aligns with your needs and financial situation.

We’ve put together a list of commonly asked questions to help shed some light on the experience and ease any lingering fears or anxieties you may have.

Our goal is to ensure that the detoxification process is as smooth and comfortable as possible for our guests. Medical care is available 24/7 and we utilize a variety of therapies, activities and treatments to promote a positive, healthy experience. These include daily activities, individual and group therapy, holistic approaches, medication maintenance and more, scheduled in such a way that is ideal for patient recovery. The goal is to maintain a daily balance that isn’t too hectic or overwhelming, nor so relaxed that guests get bored. Patients also receive a certain amount of personal freedom and independence; we are not a hospital or psychiatric ward and clients are not locked in. Our facility strives to create an inviting, home-like environment for a safe and comfortable experience.

On average, detox lasts about five days but can range from three to 10 days. Detox varies from patient to patient and you or your loved one’s exact length of stay depends on a variety of factors, such as: the substance(s) they have used, the amount of substance(s) they have used, the length of time they have been using the substance(s), frequency of use and the route of administration can all determine just how long they need to be in our care.

We understand that detox alone isn’t a long-term solution for treating addiction. It is just one intervention method of many for changing a substance-abusing lifestyle into a clean-and-sober one. For this reason, we work very hard to help each individual develop an appropriate plan for formal chemical dependency treatment, whether on an inpatient or outpatient basis, at the time of their discharge.

Having a plan set up prior to detox would be ideal to help ensure that appropriate treatment is secured in advance, but things don’t always work out this way. Unfortunately, relapses and addiction rarely happen at logical or convenient times and leave little opportunity to set up a plan before entering detox. In this case, we work closely with the patient and their family to develop a post-detox plan and organize the next phase of recovery. This often involves coordinating treatment around work and family responsibilities, considering issues such as motivation, commitment or denial, and untangling financial or insurance limitations. While these decisions are never easy, they are done in order to promote the best chance at achieving long-term recovery and support the individual and their family as they work toward a life free of drugs or alcohol.

Detox can be challenging for both the individual going through it and their family, who must stay separated during the process. At Affordable Drug Rehab, we strive to ensure your loved one is well-cared for in a safe environment. While the urge to be in touch or visit may be strong, we believe that minimizing distractions is key for effective detox. This allows patients to concentrate on healing and contemplate their next steps. Throughout the journey, our team will keep you updated and provide support. We are here to guide you, equipping you to assist your loved one in making crucial decisions about their future with care and understanding.

The first 24 hours of detox are often spent resting and recuperating. During this time, patients will have access to a phone and will be able to make a check-in call and provide a progress update. You will be able to provide encouragement and remind your loved one of the importance of what they’re doing, but after this period, it’s important that they focus on themselves and begin the healing process. Detox is a time for patients to take a step back from their lives so they can reconnect with their inner selves and engage in active self-reflection and self-care. Since the time in detox may last for three to 10 days, we recognize the importance of each precious minute we spend with our patients. Visitation may take away from the short amount of time available and interfere with program participation, so we believe it’s important to establish healthy boundaries and spend this time apart. For these reasons, visitation isn’t allowed during the detox phase of treatment, but a staff member will be in regular contact to keep you up-to-date.
